If you’ve been following, you know I have a book coming out. (See below-ha!)
The star-filled sky as seen from the bottom of the Grand Canyon plays an important role in the book. Just as I’m finishing the book, one thing leads to another, and I stumble down the astrology rabbit hole where I’ve been obsessing ever since.
Fast-forward to now. As I prepare to venture away from the computer and into the world with my book, I’ve decided to hold events at yoga studios—my home away from home for the past thirty-plus years. (How can that be?!)
I knew I wanted to talk about proper breathing for good health (I have studied and taught pranayama/yogic breathing over the years), and of course, I will talk about the book.
But I also found myself drawn to talk about astrology. To be clear, I am not an astrologer; I am an astrology lover. But it’s my latest fascination, and I’m excited to share it. (Maybe then I won’t feel like I’m just screwing around taking courses and listening to astrology podcasts for hours at a time.)
So, I made the decision to talk about astrology in conjunction with promoting the book, just for the fun of it. After all, it should be fun, right?
At first, I was going to talk about the essence of your birth chart. It’s a topic I felt would have broad appeal, and I recently completed an entire course on reading birth charts.
Then, as luck would have it—because I have Jupiter, the planet of expansion, good fortune, and LUCK in my tenth house, the house of CAREER (unbelievable, I know!)—I started reading about a very rare astrological phenomenon that is taking place RIGHT NOW.
Starting in 2024, when Pluto entered Aquarius, where it will stay for the next 20 years, and ending—I KID YOU NOT!—the day before my book launches, all five of the outer planets and the lunar nodes will have all JUST completed changing signs. (Uranus moves into Gemini on July 7, 2025.)
In astrology speak, this is HUGE, GYNORMOUS, dare I say, ASTRONOMICAL!
In other words, as soon as I decided to start discussing astrology, I learned that there is an event culminating the DAY BEFORE MY BOOK LAUNCHES, an event that has not occurred since. . . “The last time all three outer planets (Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus) changed signs within a few months of each other was in 1737, which aligns with the period of the First Great Awakening in history.”
Another response read:
“The three outer planets have not changed signs in such quick succession for hundreds of years — and perhaps never in nine short months, Nov. 2024 to July 2025.” (According to Chat GPT, anyway.)
Perhaps NEVER?! Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about when I say it’s ASTRONOMICAL!
If you want to know what all this means for you and for all of us, that’s exactly what I will be talking about at my SOULFUL GATHERINGS coming to a city near you soon!
I will also be at my first yoga home, Red Pearl Yoga in Fort Lauderdale, on July 25 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. I hope to be at many more yoga studios, wellness centers, libraries, and bookstores all around the country. (If I’m lucky!)
If you know a yoga studio that may want to offer this event, please let me know. It's for everyone, but it’s especially for yogis who love to read!
As always, thank you for being here! And remember,
Life is short. Read fast.
From one lover of the written word to another,
Jayne
Coming July 8, 2025! Bottom of the Breath is the story of a woman catapulted from her tranquil life on the Florida panhandle onto a cross-country road trip with her recently estranged husband. She must outrun a hurricane, digest a shocking, decades-old family secret, and come to terms with her own pain-filled past. Laced with mysticism and set among the majesty of Sedona and the Grand Canyon, the novel explores the power of friendship, the importance of forgiveness, and the vital need to create a future that embraces the past.
Coincidence? I think NOT!
Wow!
