July 7, 2025: It's BIG!
It's a special astrological date and the date of my Virtual Launch Party!
On July 7, Uranus, the planet of liberation and freedom, and the ruler of my sun sign, Aquarius, enters Gemini, the sign of—I kid you not—the written word.
Gemini is the sign most associated with communication, including the written and spoken word, teaching, and media. I can’t tell you how relevant this is to what I’m doing, starting on July 7, as I move from the planning stage to the action stage of this book launch.
Uranus is the “lightning strikes” planet. There is nothing subtle about it. It is a dramatic energy, bringing with it a sense of urgency and unpredictability. You might say, Uranus reminds us: It’s now or never.
Uranus takes approximately 84 years to complete its orbit around the sun, so no one reading these words will experience this configuration again in their lifetime. It will spend the next seven years working its magic in Gemini before moving on to Cancer in May 2033.
So, when my brilliantly creative and endlessly gracious friend, Jennifer Grace, who has offered to host my virtual launch party and help promote my book, asked if we could change the date from July 8, my actual launch date, to July 7, I just smiled at the serendipity of it.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS: It is set for July 7 at 7:00 pm EST—yes, 7-7-7. You gotta love it! I will send out a link for you to join the Zoom call. There will be giveaways, a short reading, and specific instructions on how you can help spread the word about BOTTOM OF THE BREATH.
I will talk about the big picture of Uranus in Gemini in my upcoming Soulful Gatherings. The slowest-moving planets—Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto—are the ones that most affect the collective.
As I try to make sense of what’s happening in the world, I find comfort in exploring how the cosmos might influence the collective energy of the planet.
Historically, Uranus in Gemini transits have been periods filled with highly eventful change for the collective. Gemini is quick-witted and dynamic. In this upcoming transit, it will be stimulated by Uranus’ revolutionary and disruptive tendencies, triggering innovation and rapid change. There are many historical examples of this.
For now, for you personally, one of the earliest signs that Uranus might be influencing you is a growing sense of restlessness, like a persistent wondering or questioning about what you want, along with a curiosity about how living differently might be more interesting or exciting. I say, embrace it!
As Bobby tells Cyd in the book, “Since when is the same so great?”
On a personal note:
Happy (belated) Father’s Day to all you fathers reading this. Twenty-five years after his death, I still miss my dad, Jack Ward. My book is, in part, a tribute to him, and Cyd’s father, Jesse, is definitely based on my father.
This is the old picture (my dad in the center) that inspired the photograph that Cyd takes with her on her journey to the Grand Canyon.
This is my son, Captain Bradford Mills, with his daughter, Harvey.
Thanks, as always, for being here. And, remember,
Life is short. Read fast.
From one lover of the written word to another,
With love,
Jayne
